A. Brief Descriptions:
Definitive diagnosis of ovarian pregnancy requires proof of ovarian nidation and exclusion of tubal nidation with secondary ovarian involvement.
B. Gross Findings:
Hemorrhage in the ovary
C. Micro Findings:
Blood clot and chorionic villi in the ovarian stroma.
Luteinized granulosa cells of corpus luteum.
D. Others:
A corpus luteum of pregnancy can often be identified close to the hemorrhagic implantation site.
