A. Brief Descriptions:
Formerly known as granular cell myeloblastoma or granular cell schwannoma.
Benign lesion of probable Schwann cell origin.
Young or middle aged adult, female predominant.
B. Gross Findings:
Solitary dermal or subcutaneous nodules.
C. Micro Findings:
Ill-defined mass composed of a diffuse sheet of large, pale eosinophilic polygonal cells with granular cytoplasm and a small, central nucleus.
Hyperkeratosis of overlying mucosa.
