A. Brief Descriptions:
Benign tumor of hair follicle origin.
Before age of 20.
Face or upper or upper extremity.
Hard deep nodule.
B. Gross Findings:
Hard deep nodule
C. Micro Findings:
A fibrous stroma surrounding nests of basophilic cells and shadow or ghost cells.
The latter are keratinized cells that have an unstained central area where their nucleoli formerly located.
D. Others:
Benign tumor of hair follicle origin.
Age: before age 20
Predilection site: face or upper extremity.
