A. Brief Descriptions

  1. Deposition of coal (carbon) dust in the lung & lymph nodes.

  2. Simple anthracosis resulting from smoking and urban living.

B. Gross Findings

  1. Focal black pigmentation scattered through the lung fields,most numerous in the upper zones of the upper and lower lobes.

C. Micro Findings

  1.  Coal dust-filled macrophages located interstitially adjacent to bronchioles, pulmonary arteries, subpleurally and within hilar lymph nodes.

D. Others:

  1. 病理組織重點:Coal dust-filled macrophages.
