《Slide 110.》Small cell carcinoma, Lung
A. Brief Descriptions:
Highly malignant, extensively metastasis, usually hilar or centrally located.
It has a strong relationship to cigarette smoking.
B. Gross Findings:
Grayish to tan in color; with infiltrating border.
C. Micro Findings:
Small round blue cell with infiltrating borders; the adjacent lung showing emphysematous change.
Sheets or solid pattern of the cancer cells with round-shaped, hyperchromatic nuclei and scanty cytolasm.
