A. Brief Descriptions

  1. Highly malignant, extensively metastasis, usually hilar or centrally located.

  2. It has a strong relationship to cigarette smoking.

B. Gross Findings

   Grayish to tan in color; with infiltrating border.

C. Micro Findings

  1. Small round blue cell with infiltrating borders; the adjacent lung showing emphysematous change.

  2. Sheets or solid pattern of the cancer cells with round-shaped, hyperchromatic nuclei and scanty cytolasm.
